Acadia Beach
Acadia Beach is a rocky, kelp-strewn shoreline on the northern edge of Point Grey, offering sweeping views across the Strait of Georgia toward Vancouver Island and the North Shore mountains. At low tide, the exposed rocks and tide pools create strong foreground interest, letting you layer textured stone against the open water and distant peaks. Position yourself at the waterline and shoot wide to capture the full sweep of the inlet, or get low over the rocks for a more dramatic perspective. A 16-35mm lens works well here for the expansive scenery, though a mid-range zoom lets you compress the mountains against the horizon. Golden hour light, especially at sunset, bathes the scene in warm tones and reflects beautifully off the wet rocks. The beach is accessible via a short trail through Pacific Spirit Regional Park, and parking is available nearby on NW Marine Drive. (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)
