Perched at the southern tip of Santorini's Akrotiri peninsula, this 1892 whitewashed lighthouse stands against dramatic cliffs and open Aegean Sea views, making it one of the island's most striking yet less crowded shooting locations. Position yourself low and close to emphasize the tower's height against the sky, or pull back wide to include the rugged volcanic landscape and sea stretching to the horizon. A wide-angle lens works well for environmental shots, while a short telephoto lets you compress the lighthouse against distant caldera scenery. Sunset is the prime time here, with warm golden light hitting the white structure and the sun dropping cleanly into the sea to the west; arrive 30 to 45 minutes early to scout your angle. The site is reachable by car or ATV along a paved road, with open ground around the lighthouse giving you room to move freely. (Akrotiri, Santorini, Greece)
