Athens Olympic Park
Built for the 2004 Summer Olympics and redesigned by Santiago Calatrava, Athens Olympic Park offers some of the most striking structural photography in Greece. The signature steel arch and undulating white canopy over the main stadium are the standout subjects, and shooting from ground level looking up emphasizes their dramatic scale against the sky. The plaza areas between venues give you wide-angle opportunities to compose the canopy's rhythmic curves with clean foreground space. Midday light can be harsh on the white surfaces, so aim for golden hour when warm tones bring out the texture of the steel and the shadows add depth to the architecture. A wide-angle lens handles the sweeping structures well, while a telephoto lets you isolate repeating structural details. The park is publicly accessible and largely open, giving you freedom to explore multiple angles without restriction. (Marousi, Attica, Greece)
