Bird Kingdom
Bird Kingdom is one of the world's largest indoor free-flying aviaries, housed in a historic building in Niagara Falls. Inside, you will find lush tropical environments filled with hundreds of exotic birds that fly freely around you, offering rare opportunities to photograph species like lorikeets, toucans, and macaws at extremely close range. Bring a mid-range zoom or a fast 50mm prime to handle the low indoor light, and shoot in burst mode to catch birds in flight or landing on perches. The light inside is warm and diffused, which works well for colorful plumage, though you will want to push your ISO higher in the darker enclosure sections. Arrive early when the birds tend to be more active and feeding stations draw them in close.
