Brompton Cemetery Chapel is a grand neoclassical structure at the heart of one of London's finest Victorian garden cemeteries, featuring a striking dome, colonnaded arcades, and weathered stone that rewards architectural photography at almost any hour. The chapel sits at the end of a long central avenue flanked by elaborate tombs and monuments, giving you a natural leading line to work with from the main entrance. Shoot from the avenue looking south to compress the perspective and frame the dome rising above the monuments on either side. Overcast days are ideal here, as soft diffused light brings out the texture in the stonework without harsh shadows. Early mornings on weekdays give you the quietest conditions and occasional mist that adds atmosphere. A wide angle lens handles the full facade well, while a short telephoto helps isolate the dome against the sky. (London, England, United Kingdom)
