Bruarfoss Waterfall
Bruarfoss is a striking Icelandic waterfall where glacial meltwater rushes through a narrow basalt channel, producing an intense turquoise blue that is almost unreal in photographs. The upper falls are the most dramatic, with water fanning out across a wide rocky lip before dropping into a vivid blue pool. Get low and close to the water's edge to emphasize the color and the layered rock formations, and use a wide angle lens to capture the full spread of the cascade. A polarizing filter helps cut glare and deepen that signature blue. Overcast days work better than bright sun here, as even light brings out the color without harsh shadows.
