Chelsea Countryside
This quiet rural stretch runs through the rolling farmland and forest edges of Gatineau Park's Chelsea area, offering a classic Canadian countryside composition with open fields, tree lines, and a country road that draws the eye deep into the frame. The road itself is your strongest compositional tool, use it as a leading line by positioning yourself low and close to the pavement to exaggerate perspective, or pull back wide to include the surrounding fields and sky. A standard zoom or wide angle lens works well here. Late summer brings golden harvested fields and late afternoon light that rakes across the landscape beautifully; fall is equally rewarding when the deciduous trees turn and colour fills both the tree line and roadside edges.
