Clanx Castle Ruins
The Clanx Castle dates back to the early 1200s where it was built atop a high hill to be used as a defensive position. The castle played key roles in many battles and sieges over the years before it was burned down in the Appenzell Wars and was left to fall into disrepair. (Appenzell District, Switzerland)
