Seealpsee
Tucked into a natural bowl in the Alpstein range, Seealpsee is a pristine mountain lake ringed by steep grassy slopes and rocky peaks that reflect cleanly in its still, turquoise-green water on calm mornings. The reflection shots are the main draw here, so position yourself low at the shoreline and shoot early before any wind breaks the surface. The traditional mountain guesthouses along the northern bank add a classic Alpine character to wide compositions, and a medium wide-angle lens works well to capture both the foreground water and the surrounding peaks. Golden hour light hits the cliffs above the lake beautifully in the morning, while afternoon sun illuminates the green slopes from the front. The lake sits at around 1,140 meters and is reachable by a roughly 45-minute hike from Wasserauen or a shorter descent from Ebenalp after taking the cable car, making it accessible even with heavier gear.
