Coleman Bridge View
Coleman Bridge offers one of the most rewarding compositions along the Singapore River, where you can frame the curving waterway lined with colorful shophouses and the distinctive tent structures of Clarke Quay stretching into the distance. Stand on the bridge and shoot downstream toward Clarke Quay for a strong leading line that pulls the eye through the scene, or turn upstream for a quieter, more symmetrical view of the river. A wide-angle lens works well to capture the full sweep of the riverbanks, while a short telephoto lets you compress the layered architecture. Blue hour is the sweet spot here, when the shophouse lights and neon reflections shimmer on the water and the sky still holds enough color to balance the scene. The bridge has pedestrian walkways on both sides, making it easy to position yourself and shoot without obstruction. (Singapore)
