Crab Park
Crab Park sits along the waterfront in Vancouver's port district, offering unobstructed views of Burrard Inlet, the working harbour, and the North Shore mountains rising behind it all. The combination of industrial port activity, floatplanes skimming the water, sailboats, and snow-capped peaks in a single frame makes this a genuinely compelling spot that rewards patience. Position yourself near the water's edge and use a longer lens, around 70-200mm, to compress the mountains against the harbour activity and the downtown skyline to your left. Shoot at golden hour for warm light hitting the North Shore peaks, or arrive just before sunrise when the water is calm and the mountains reflect softly. The park is flat and accessible, with open sightlines in multiple directions; walking toward the small pier extension gives you the best unobstructed waterline angles.
