About Ed Nixon Trail

The Ed Nixon Trail is a scenic path that follows the southwestern shore of Langford Lake. Boardwalk carries you over marsh at the western end, then the path turns to gravel and runs into a strip of Coastal Douglas fir. Shooting the boardwalk low, along its length lets you use the rails as leading lines running right through the frame. A floating platform stretches out over the water giving you space to experiment with reflections along the waterline. Late in the day the far shore takes the light while you stay in shade. You can easily park on Goldstream Avenue at the west end, or at the Langford Lake Beach Park just off of Trillium Road. (Langford, British Columbia, Canada)
