Electric Ladyland bills itself as the world's first museum of fluorescent art, tucked into a narrow canal house in the Jordaan district, where owner Nick Padalino has filled the space with glowing minerals, psychedelic installations, and fluorescent sculptures that come alive under ultraviolet light. The main attraction is the walk-in fluorescent environment in the basement, where every surface pulses with neon color, giving you an almost infinite number of abstract, otherworldly compositions to explore. Bring a fast prime lens, something in the 24mm to 35mm range, and shoot wide open since light levels are very low. Turn off your flash entirely and let the UV do the work; longer exposures on a small tripod or steady surface will help if your camera struggles. The space is small and intimate, so patience and a slow pace reward you with cleaner frames between other visitors. (Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands)
