Facho de Árvore
Facho de Árvore is the remains of a former lighthouse in the coastal village of Árvore, that now sits abandoned, slowly falling into disrepair. What’s left of the structure has a rough, weathered look, with broken stone and worn surfaces that give it a lot of character. It’s a simple subject, which makes it easy to work with, whether you are focusing on details or stepping back to include more of the landscape around it. The open setting gives you plenty of space to move and try different angles without much getting in the way. Softer light helps bring out the textures in the stone, but it works well in most conditions. (Árvore, Portugal)
