Faro del Gianicolo (Faro di Roma) is a unique lighthouse that is not close to any water, sitting tucked away in the heart of Gianicolo Park. Built in the early 20th century as a monument and gift from Italian communities living in Argentina. The lighthouse has never been used for navigation. Its tall white structure rises above the surrounding trees, making it easy to spot from different parts of the park. The area around it offers open viewpoints across Rome, with the city stretching out below. Its setting within the park and its unexpected presence away from the sea give it a distinct character compared to other landmarks in the city. (Rome, Italy)
