Fisherman’s Wharf, Steveston Harbour
Fisherman’s Wharf in Steveston Harbour, located in Richmond just south of Vancouver, is a working fishing dock where you can photograph boats, nets, and fresh catches being sold right off the vessels. The boardwalk runs alongside the moored boats, giving you easy angles for layered shots with ropes, reflections, and textures that feel very coastal and authentic. It is a great spot for candid photography too, with fishermen, visitors, and market activity adding life to the scene. Early morning is best if you want softer light and more of the working harbour feel, while later in the day brings more foot traffic and a livelier atmosphere.
