Fort Point Museum
Fort Point sits on a quiet peninsula in LaHave, where the historic LaHave Lighthouse stands alongside a small museum tracing centuries of Acadian history. The lighthouse itself is compact and photogenic, with its classic red and white paint scheme working well against the open sky and river estuary behind it. Shoot from the waterside to frame the lighthouse with the LaHave River in the background, or get low on the grassy bank to give the structure more presence against the sky. Golden hour light, particularly in the morning, catches the painted exterior nicely and casts long shadows across the grounds. A wide to standard zoom in the 24-70mm range handles most compositions here comfortably. The site is easily walkable and open daily in season, giving you time to explore multiple angles without feeling rushed. (LaHave, Nova Scotia, Canada)
