Gem Lake is a fantastic mountain lake, with lots of great views of the Estes Park Valley along the way and a steep final section over switchbacks and steps to see a small alpine lake. The hike in takes roughly 1/1.5 hours along the Gem Lake Trail, which branches off of the Black Canyon Trail. (Estes Park, Colorado)
