Helix Bridge Cityscape
The Helix Bridge is a stunning pedestrian bridge modeled on the double helix structure of DNA, and it sits in one of Singapore's most iconic compositions, with Marina Bay Sands and the glittering city skyline rising directly behind it. Position yourself along the waterfront promenade on the south bank of the Marina Bay area, shooting across the water to frame the bridge's curving steel lattice against the backdrop of the towers. A wide-angle lens works well to capture the full sweep of the scene, while a short telephoto lets you compress the bridge and skyline together for a more dramatic effect. Blue hour is the sweet spot here, when the city lights and the bridge's own illumination kick in but the sky still holds color. Tripods are permitted and the promenade is flat and easy to navigate.
