Jewel Changi Airport Waterfall
The Rain Vortex is a 40-meter indoor waterfall that drops from a central oculus in Jewel Changi Airport's vast glass-and-steel dome, surrounded by five levels of terraced forest gardens. The architecture gives you strong geometric lines to work with; shooting from the upper walkways lets you look down into the vortex for dramatic wide compositions, while lower levels allow you to place the waterfall against the curved dome structure above. A wide-angle lens in the 16-24mm range works well for capturing the full scale, though a longer focal length helps isolate details in the cascading water and greenery. The waterfall runs throughout the day, but the evening light show transforms it into a long-exposure opportunity with colored lighting reflecting off the mist. Visit on a weekday to avoid crowds, and bring a small tripod or find a railing to brace against for slower shutter speeds. (Changi, Singapore)
