Punggol Point Park sits at the northeastern tip of Singapore, where the Johor Strait separates the island from Malaysia, giving you a rare waterfront vantage point that feels far removed from the city's usual urban density. The shoreline trail offers clean, unobstructed views across the water, and you can frame passing cargo ships and tankers against the distant Malaysian coastline for a strong sense of scale and depth. Shooting from low near the water's edge with a telephoto lens lets you compress the strait and pull the far shore closer, while a wide angle works well for capturing the open sky and reflections along the rocky beach. Evening is the best time to visit, when the lights from the Malaysian shore begin to glow and the sky transitions through warm tones. The park is accessible by LRT to Punggol station followed by a short walk or ride, and the flat, open terrain makes it easy to reposition along the waterfront. (Punggol, Singapore)
