Tanjong Rhu Suspension Bridge
This slender pedestrian suspension bridge spans the Geylang River and offers some surprisingly strong compositional opportunities in a quieter corner of Singapore. The bridge's cables and curved lines work well as leading elements, drawing the eye toward the city skyline in the background, and shooting from either bank gives you a clean reflection in the calm river below. Approach from the Tanjong Rhu side for a perspective that frames the bridge against the Marina Bay skyline in the distance. Blue hour and after dark are when this spot really comes alive, with the bridge lighting up and the water mirroring the glow of the surrounding city. A wide angle lens lets you capture the full arc of the cables, while a short telephoto compresses the background skyline nicely. The area is easy to reach on foot and stays relatively uncrowded, giving you room to set up a tripod without much hassle. (Tanjong Rhu, Singapore)
