London Eye View

Riding the London Eye puts you inside one of the world's most recognizable observation wheels, offering a slow 30-minute rotation that climbs to 135 meters above the South Bank. The glass capsules give you unobstructed 360-degree views, with the most photogenic angles looking west along the Thames toward Westminster Bridge, the Houses of Parliament, and Big Ben. Shoot through the glass carefully to minimize reflections by pressing your lens close to the surface, and a wide-angle lens works well for sweeping cityscapes while a mid-range zoom lets you compress landmarks in the distance. Golden hour and blue hour are the best times to ride, when warm light catches the river and the city begins to glow. Book a capsule early in your session to give yourself time to work multiple compositions as the wheel rotates. Tickets should be booked in advance to avoid long queues.
