Main Street Park
Tucked along the Brooklyn waterfront, this small but well-positioned park gives you one of the most compelling views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the lower Manhattan skyline across the East River. Frame the bridge from the waterfront railing with the city stretching out behind it, or walk north along the path to shoot looking up and underneath the Manhattan Bridge for dramatic structural compositions. A wide angle lens works well for capturing both bridges in a single frame, while a short telephoto helps compress the skyline. Blue hour and evening are the standout times here, when the bridge cables and city lights reflect on the water and the sky holds just enough color to balance the artificial light.
