Maltes Stig
Maltes Stig is a coastal hiking trail running along the edge of Gullmarsfjord, offering sweeping views across the water with rocky shorelines, weathered pines, and quiet inlets that reward photographers willing to explore on foot. The trail gives you multiple vantage points to work with, from low angles at the water's edge where reflections and foreground rocks add depth, to elevated spots where you can compress the fjord against distant hills. Sunset is the standout time to shoot here, with warm light skimming across the water and silhouetting the treeline; arrive early to find your position before the light changes. A wide angle lens suits the open fjord views, while a short telephoto helps isolate details like mossy boulders or moored boats. Much of the path is accessible for wheelchair users, and parking is available at the trailhead near Saltkällan. (Saltkällan, Västra Götaland, Sweden)
