Peoples Gas Pavilion (The Honeycomb)
Peoples Gas Pavilion, often called The Honeycomb, is an open-air structure located beside South Pond in Lincoln Park near the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. The pavilion’s interlocking metal cells create repeating patterns that work well for architectural and abstract photography. Light filters through the structure differently throughout the day, making it easy to capture a variety of looks from the same spot. Reflections from the pond and surrounding greenery add depth to compositions, especially in soft morning or evening light. The area is easy to reach on foot via zoo and park paths, with several angles available for shooting both close details and wider scenes. (Chicago, Illinois, United States)
