Plompe Toren
Plompe Toren is a church tower that is the only remains from the fishing village of Koudekerke. The seashore was originally roughly 3 km further out into the estuary with village tucked away safely behind a small dyke. Fierce storms destroyed the dykes and the ocean swallowed up the village, leaving only the church tower standing. The highlight is the top floor with its beautiful view of the surrounding area. Bring binoculars or use the ones provided to spot seals and birds on the sand banks! (Burgh-Haamstede, Netherlands)
