St Monans Windmill
The historic St Monans Windmill sits picture perfect along the beautiful Fife coastal path with stunning views overlooking the sea. The original role of the windmill was to provide the power to pump sea water from tidally-fed reservoirs cut into the rocks offshore into the salt pans - where the water would slowly evaporate leaving the much needed salt behind.
