About Tour Manhattan
Tour Manhattan is a sleek glass tower in La Défense, Paris's modernist business district, offering rich material for architectural and urban photographers. The building's reflective facade mirrors neighboring towers and shifting sky conditions, making it especially rewarding on partly cloudy days when dramatic light and shadow play across the glass. Shoot from ground level looking upward with a wide angle lens, around 16 to 24mm, to exaggerate the converging vertical lines and sense of scale. The surrounding esplanade gives you room to step back and incorporate the broader skyline, while getting close lets you fill the frame with pure geometry and reflection. Early morning on weekdays brings soft directional light and far fewer people on the plaza, making clean compositions easier to achieve.
