Perched on the hillside above the city, this viewpoint gives you one of the most complete panoramas of Tromsø available, with the iconic Arctic Cathedral, the bridge, and the island city spread out below you against a backdrop of fjords and mountains. The classic composition frames the city center looking southwest, with the bridge as a natural leading element connecting the scene. You can reach the viewpoint by hiking a well-marked trail or taking the Fjellheisen cable car, which drops you close to the top. Blue hour is the sweet spot here, when the city lights begin to glow against a deep indigo sky, especially during winter when darkness comes early and the contrast is dramatic.
