Position yourself on the pedestrian crossing or sidewalk opposite the station to capture the full sweep of the streetscape, using the road as a leading line pulling the eye into the frame. A wide angle lens in the 16-24mm range works well here, letting you exaggerate the depth of the scene and include the overhead rail structure. Blue hour is the sweet spot, when the ambient sky balances the warm glow of storefronts and illuminated signage without blowing out highlights.
