Standing at 634 meters, Tokyo Skytree is one of the most dramatic vertical structures you can photograph in Asia, and it rewards both wide-angle and telephoto approaches. From ground level along the Oshiage area, you can frame the tower rising straight up through surrounding low-rise streets, which emphasizes its scale against the urban fabric below. The Sumida River provides a classic reflection shot, especially from the bridges nearby, where you can capture the tower mirrored in still water during calm mornings. Blue hour and shortly after sunset are ideal, when the tower's LED illumination activates against a deep indigo sky. For compressed cityscape shots with the tower as a backdrop, cross the river and shoot from Asakusa side streets using a 70-200mm lens. The area is very walkable, and the tower base plaza gives you extreme wide-angle options looking straight up through its latticed steel legs. (Sumida City, Tokyo, Japan)
