This small pocket along the Kitajukken River offers one of Tokyo's most iconic seasonal compositions, where a row of cherry blossom trees lines the canal with Tokyo Skytree rising dramatically behind them. During peak bloom in late March to early April, the soft pink branches frame the tower naturally, giving you a classic foreground-to-landmark layered shot. Position yourself along the riverbank path and shoot toward the tower with the blossoms arching into the upper frame; a 24-70mm zoom gives you flexibility to compress or widen depending on how dense the canopy is. Early morning is ideal, when light is gentle and crowds are thin, though blue hour and night shooting work well too since the tower is lit after dark. The path is flat and easy to walk, and you can move along the bank to find the cleanest sightline through the branches. (Sumida City, Tokyo, Japan)
