The Bay Bridge stretches dramatically from San Francisco's Embarcadero waterfront toward Yerba Buena Island, and the stretch of shoreline near Rincon Park gives you one of the most accessible and rewarding angles on this iconic structure. You can shoot the bridge head-on to emphasize its length and scale, or move along the Bay Trail to find foreground interest like benches, bollards, or the waterline itself. The Cupid's Span sculpture nearby can also serve as a strong foreground element to add depth to wider compositions. Blue hour and the period just after sunset work particularly well here, when the bridge lights up and the sky transitions through deep blues and purples. A wide-angle lens handles the full span nicely, while a telephoto lets you compress the bridge towers against the city or East Bay hills. Parking is available along the Embarcadero and the path is flat and easy to walk in either direction. (San Francisco, California, United States)
