The Dubai Fountain is the world's largest choreographed fountain system, set on the artificial Burj Khalifa Lake with the tower itself rising dramatically behind it, giving you one of the most recognizable skyline compositions in the Middle East. Shoot from the waterfront promenade along the lake edge to frame the fountain jets against the Burj Khalifa, or walk the pedestrian bridge that crosses the lake for a closer, more intimate angle with the water surrounding you on both sides. The fountain runs every 30 minutes in the evenings, so timing your shot to the performance is straightforward. Blue hour is ideal here, when the sky still holds some color and the building lights reflect across the water.
