Alkaff Bridge
Alkaff Bridge is a vibrantly painted pedestrian footbridge spanning the Singapore River at Robertson Quay, decorated with over 55 bold colors by artist Pacita Abad, making it one of the most visually striking structures in the city. Shooting from the riverbank at water level gives you the best angle to capture the curved, boat-like form reflected in the calm river below, and the colors really pop against the water. A wide-angle lens works well for capturing the full sweep of the bridge alongside the surrounding shophouses and riverside greenery. Early morning offers the softest, most even light with minimal crowds, while the golden hour before sunset adds warmth that complements the bridge's warm tones. At night, the bridge is lit up and reflects beautifully on the river surface. Access is straightforward from the Robertson Quay waterfront promenade, with plenty of spots along both banks to find your composition. (Singapore, Central Region, Singapore)
