Baker Street is one of the oldest underground stations in the world, and its Victorian-era platforms on the Hammersmith and City line are among the most atmospheric spaces in the entire London Underground network. The exposed yellow brick and repeating series of curved arches create strong leading lines that draw the eye deep into the frame; position yourself at the far end of the platform and shoot toward the tunnel entrance for the most dramatic perspective. A wide angle lens works well here to emphasize the tunnel geometry, while a longer focal length compresses the arches into a satisfying pattern. The platforms are naturally dim, so bring a fast lens or be prepared to push your ISO. Quieter periods, such as mid-morning on weekdays after the rush hour clears, give you more freedom to compose without crowds filling the frame. (London, England, United Kingdom)
