The boardwalk wrapping around the eastern side of the Sydney Opera House puts you right at water level with one of the most recognizable urban waterfronts in the world. From here you can frame the Harbour Bridge arching across the skyline with the CBD towers clustered behind it, and the reflections on the harbour add depth when the water is calm. Shoot from low near the railing to emphasize the foreground water, or step back to include the Opera House shells at the edge of your frame for a sense of place. Golden hour gives the sandstone and glass towers a warm glow, and blue hour is particularly rewarding as the city lights balance with the fading sky. The boardwalk is wide, flat, and fully accessible; a 24-70mm lens covers most compositions well, though a wider angle lets you pull in more of the bridge and skyline together.
