Sitting on the edge of Farm Cove, the Royal Botanic Garden gives you one of the most accessible and versatile shooting locations in Sydney, combining lush gardens, towering Moreton Bay figs, and sweeping harbour views with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge as backdrops. Walk toward the seawall along the eastern edge for clean waterfront compositions with the Opera House framed by trees, or use the fig-lined pathways as natural leading lines drawing the eye deeper into the gardens. Early morning is the sweet spot here, when soft light filters through the canopy and the crowds are thin enough to get clear shots. A wide-angle lens handles the grand harbour vistas well, while a short telephoto lets you compress the cityscape behind flowering beds or resident ibis. The garden is free to enter and easily walkable from Circular Quay. (Sydney, New South Wales, Australia)
