Hickson Road Reserve sits along the waterfront in Millers Point, offering one of Sydney's most compelling vantage points for capturing the Harbour Bridge and Opera House together in a single frame. The low seawall and open foreground let you shoot wide and include the harbour water, while a longer focal length lets you compress the distance and isolate the bridge against the city skyline. Early morning is the strongest time to visit, with soft golden light washing across the Opera House shells and the bridge free of harsh shadows; blue hour before sunrise also works well for long exposures with the city lights reflected on the water. The reserve is easy to reach on foot from Circular Quay and stays relatively uncrowded compared to more popular spots nearby.
