Bullock Harbour is a small, working harbour on the south Dublin coast, offering a compact and characterful scene of stone walls, moored fishing boats, and rugged boulder-strewn shorelines backed by a rocky cliff face. You can work several angles here, from shooting along the harbour wall to frame the boats against the cliff, to getting low on the rocks at the water's edge for more dramatic foreground interest. If you are lucky, a group of seals may be resting on the rocks nearby, adding a strong focal point to wildlife compositions. Overcast days bring out the texture in the stonework and keep reflections in the water soft and even, while golden hour light warms the scene nicely. A mid-range zoom gives you flexibility to move between wide establishing shots and tighter details of ropes, hulls, and weathered stone. Parking is available close to the water.
