Burrard Street Bridge
The Burrard Street Bridge is a stunning Art Deco structure spanning False Creek, offering some of the best urban photography in Vancouver. Shooting from the water level at Vanier Park or Sunset Beach gives you a strong low angle with the bridge's ornate towers framing the city skyline behind it. From the bridge itself, the pedestrian and cycling lanes provide elevated views looking east toward downtown and the glass towers of Yaletown, or west toward the mountains and Burrard Inlet. The geometric steel framework and decorative stonework are worth isolating with a longer lens for detail shots. Blue hour and golden hour both work exceptionally well here, with the bridge lights reflecting off False Creek below. A wide-angle lens handles the full span nicely, while a 70-200mm lets you compress the skyline behind the towers. Parking is available at Vanier Park and Sunset Beach for easy access.
