Caulfield Park
Caulfield Park is a tucked-away coastal gem in West Vancouver, offering rugged shoreline, weathered driftwood, and sweeping views across Howe Sound toward the city of Vancouver in the distance. The rocky foreshore gives you natural foreground interest, and you can work the shoreline in both directions to find compositions that layer the jagged rocks, open water, and distant skyline. Low tide is the best time to explore, as it exposes more of the rock shelf and creates reflective pools that work well as foreground elements. Golden hour at sunrise or sunset adds warm light to the scene, with sunset being particularly strong as it catches the rocks and water from the west. A wide angle lens suits this spot well, and the area is quiet enough that you can take your time setting up a shot. Street parking is available nearby and the walk to the water is short.
