Creekside Park Cityscape

Creekside Park Cityscape - Photo by whereitsb1 / 1

Creekside Park sits along the north shore of False Creek in Vancouver, giving you a clean, unobstructed sightline across the water toward two of the city's most recognizable landmarks: the geodesic dome of Science World and the illuminated roof of BC Place stadium. The waterfront path and low seawall put you right at water level, where you can use the calm surface of False Creek to capture strong reflections of the city lights. A wide angle lens works well here to pull in both landmarks together, or you can isolate Science World with a longer focal length and compress it against the skyline. Shoot from the grassy areas or along the seawall edge for the best water reflections. The blue hour window just after sunset is the sweet spot, when the sky holds color and the stadium and dome lights are fully active. Street parking and bike access make it straightforward to reach.
