Creekside Park
Creekside Park sits along the northern shore of False Creek in Vancouver, giving you an unobstructed view of Science World's iconic geodesic dome reflected in the water below. The dome is the clear photographic draw here, and it works well from multiple angles along the waterfront path. For classic compositions, position yourself near the water's edge and use a wide angle lens to capture the dome alongside the creek's reflections, especially when the water is calm. A longer focal length lets you compress the cityscape behind it for a tighter, more graphic shot. Early morning is ideal, with soft directional light and minimal foot traffic, and the golden hour before sunset warms the dome's silver exterior beautifully. The park is flat, accessible, and easy to navigate; the seawall path runs directly along the water, so you can walk and find the framing that works best for your shot.
