Science World's iconic geodesic dome sits at the eastern end of False Creek, and the seawall path curving along the north shore of the creek gives you a clean, unobstructed view of the structure reflected in the water. Position yourself along the paved path west of the dome to capture it head-on with the creek in the foreground, or move further back toward the Cambie Bridge area to include the surrounding skyline and marina boats as supporting elements. A wide to standard zoom in the 24-50mm range handles most compositions well here. Blue hour and golden hour both work beautifully, with the dome's lights switching on at dusk creating strong reflections on calm water. Early mornings on weekdays keep foot traffic low and the water relatively undisturbed. The path is flat and fully accessible, with plenty of room to set up a tripod along the railing.
