Standing 252 meters tall in Donaupark, this sleek concrete tower gives you two distinct shooting opportunities: the tower itself as a graphic architectural subject, and the panoramic cityscape from its observation deck. From ground level, position yourself in the surrounding park to use trees or pathways as framing elements, and shoot upward with a wide angle lens to emphasize the tower's imposing vertical scale. From the deck, you get unobstructed 360-degree views taking in the Danube, the Vienna city center, and the forested hills beyond. Twilight is the sweet spot here, when the last natural light balances with the city's illumination and the tower's own lighting kicks in. The park below also gives you interesting foreground options for exterior shots. The tower is easily reached via U1 to Kaisermühlen-VIC, making it a straightforward addition to any Vienna shoot.
