Front St Beach Access
This narrow beach access point in Lahaina drops you directly onto a stretch of West Maui shoreline with an unobstructed view across the Au'au Channel toward the island of Lanai, making it one of the most rewarding sunset spots on the island. The channel alignment means the sun often sets directly over or just beside Lanai, giving you a natural focal point to anchor your compositions. Shoot wide to include the foreground rocks and water movement, or compress the scene with a longer lens to bring Lanai closer and stack it against the orange sky. Golden hour light is warm and comes in low over the water, and you can catch good color well after the sun drops. The stairs beside the restaurant are easy to find and the beach is never crowded at this access point, giving you room to move and adjust your angle. (Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii, United States)
