Mala Historic Wharf
Mala Historic Wharf, just north of Lahaina’s main town center, is a partially collapsed pier that juts into the ocean, leaving behind a striking row of concrete pilings. These remnants create strong leading lines and layered depth, especially when paired with long exposure techniques during sunrise or sunset. The area is also popular with divers, as the underwater structure hosts vibrant marine life, offering opportunities for both topside and underwater photography. Easily accessible from a small parking area near Mala Boat Ramp, the site provides dramatic views of nearby islands and is best visited at low tide for optimal foreground detail.
