Harbourfront Park

Harbourfront Park - Photo by @ns.photos251 / 1

Harbourfront Park stretches along Toronto's waterfront and gives you one of the city's most accessible and rewarding angles on the CN Tower and the downtown skyline. From the water's edge, you can frame the tower rising above the urban skyline with Lake Ontario in the foreground, using the reflections on calm water to add depth to your shot. Walk east or west along the path to adjust your framing and find compositions that incorporate the marina, moored boats, or the boardwalk as leading elements. Blue hour and night are when this spot really delivers, with the CN Tower lit up and city lights reflecting across the lake. A wide angle lens works well for expansive skyline shots, while a short telephoto lets you compress the scene and isolate the tower. The waterfront is flat and fully accessible, and there is plenty of space to set up a tripod. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
